Nubian Pride

Her Majesty.

Her Majesty.

She’s the epitome
Of afrocentricity…
And her breathless beauty
Bleeds beyond the boundaries
Of her ethnicity…
Electric eyes dive
To the deepest depths
Of the soul…
And behind her
In her shadow…
Lies the remnants
Of a broken mold…

Behold…the only thing
More beautiful
Than looking
Through Gods eyes
Knowing that He has
Created perfection…
She’s the only earthly being
That I choose to look to…
When trying to find direction…

Feminine essence personified…
And though He’s made many
There are only a chosen few
That I would choose
To live my life beside…
Merely saying that a woman
Comes from a man’s rib
Is nothing new…
So I would expose my chest
To the heavens above
And ask of my maker
Please, take two…

The Queen of
Lost African tribes reborn…
She is the blueprint
Of generations torn…
A rare black diamond
In the confines of mines
Yet to be explored…
So she comes to you
Finished, unblemished
…and adored

Amina…
Cleopatra…
Dahia-Al Kahina…
Nefertiti…
Nehanda…
Makeda, Queen of Sheba…
Hatshepsut…
Nefertari, Queen of Kemet
Whether Queen, Empress or Goddess
Her spirit resurrects…

The fate of nations
Hang in the balance
So she refuses to be ignored…
Bloodlines are birthed
Because of her worth
Mother Earth’s umbilical cord…
She is the equivalent
Of beauty and strength
When the two worlds collide…
The omnipotent description
Of Nubian pride…
